In the remote highlands of Papua, New Guinea, in the summer of 1959, an extraordinary event unfolded at the local mission station. Reverend William Gill and thirty-seven native converts gathered in awe as they witnessed an unidentified flying object hovering above them for two consecutive nights. The incident, which occurred on the 26th and 27th of June, has since become a significant part of UFO history. The missionaries described the object as a silver disc with waving occupants, who appeared to be beckoning to them. The natives, who were initially frightened, soon became fascinated by the sight and reported that the occupants seemed friendly and benevolent.
