The ambitious project, led by railway entrepreneur Sir Edward Watkin, aimed to create a 358-metre (1,175 ft)-high visitor attraction in the park, surpassing the height of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Marketed as the "Great Tower of London," the Watkins Tower was an engineering marvel of its time. This programme serves as a reminder of the grand plans and aspirations of the past, offering a glimpse into the rich history of Wembley Park and London's architectural landscape. The programme's illustration of the Watkins Tower captures the essence of the era's architectural ambition and the spirit of innovation.
