In this evocative photograph, we find Freddie Lillingston-Price at the wheel of his Merlyn Mk11 during the HSCC Classic Formula Ford Championship held at the iconic Silverstone Circuit on 16th October 2022. The event, which is part of the Historic Sports Car Club's (HSCC) calendar, brought together 1600cc Formula Ford racing cars that were built and raced before 1982. The grid was split into two classes: Class A for cars that raced from the start of 1974 to the end of 1981, and Class B for those that competed up to the end of 1973. The Merlyn Mk11, a popular and successful single-seater chassis from the 1960s and 1970s, is a sight to behold as it roars around the Northamptonshire track.
