Amongst them are Count Gleichen and Lieutenant H. A. C Wilson from the 3rd Grenadier Guards, Captain G. M Stewart and Lieutenant H. S McCorquodale from the Volunteer Hotchkiss Detachment. Also depicted are Captain C. Walter, Lieutenant F. M Raphael, Lieutenant J. J. R Mallock from various regiments such as the 2nd Middlesex Regiment, 2nd Lancaster Regiment, and 2nd Cameronians. The faces of these fallen heroes reflect determination and courage even in death. Their sacrifice is further emphasized by mentioning other notable casualties like Captain C. S Knox Gore from the 2nd Lancashire Fusiliers and Captain M. W Kirk from the 1st South Lancashire Regiment.
