It is made of earthenware, transfer-printed in blue on either side with a scene of a man fishing through the ice and two ships amid ice floes. This is a composite picture based on two engravings in W.E. Parry's Journal of a Voyage for the Discovery of a North-West Passage (London, 1821). Situation of H.M.
