Taken in April 1929 by Francis Matthew Shea, the image showcases the post mill in full working condition. At the time of this photograph, the mill was still actively grinding corn and serving its purpose within the community. Dating back to 1735, this post mill had an intriguing history. Originally situated in Ringleton, it was later relocated to Ash in 1818. The mill's architectural style reflects Georgian influences and stands as a testament to England's rich heritage.
