Laing were responsible for the construction of Phase V of the Barbican development, which included the Barbican Arts Centre, Frobisher Crescent and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In October 1977, the Guildhall School Of Music and Drama was opened by the Lord Mayor of London, marking the completion of the first major section of the Phase V contract
