EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph captures the facade of the Kings Head Public House, located in Edmonton, London. The red brick building, adorned with ornate details and intricate carvings, once stood proudly as a beloved local watering hole for the community. The pub, which was not affiliated with the Kings Head Brewery Company Limited, was a gathering place for friends and neighbors, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The main entrance is framed by two large, arched windows, each adorned with decorative ironwork. Above the entrance, the name "Kings Head" is proudly displayed in elegant lettering. The pub's historic charm is further accentuated by the hanging flower baskets and the lush greenery that surrounds the building. The back of this print reveals a floor plan of the billiards hall located within the Kings Head. The detailed drawing shows the layout of the room, with its billiard table taking center stage. The room also features a bar, seating area, and a snooker table. This print offers a glimpse into the past, providing a nostalgic look at a cherished local establishment that, unfortunately, is no longer in existence. As of July 2018, the Kings Head Public House had been long demolished, leaving behind only memories and this photograph as reminders of its former glory.
