He crawled on his hands and knees from the Cornish Arms, St Blazey, to the Polgooth Inn, a distance of 8 miles. Roberts step-mother has MS which spurred him into action. Captured in this poignant print from August 1991, we witness an extraordinary act of compassion and determination. Robert Putt, a resident of St Austell, Cornwall, embarked on a charity pub crawl like no other. Motivated by his step-mother's battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), he decided to raise funds for the Mid Cornwall MS Society in a truly remarkable way. With gloves tightly gripping the pavement and knee pads protecting him along the arduous journey, Robert crawled on his hands and knees for an astonishing 8-mile distance.
