Twenty five Royal Naval ratings and Royal Marines on an unidentified landing craft. The photograph is taken from the jetty looking down. At the front of the group, wearing a cap, is a Petty Officer of the medical branch. He also displays a combined operations badge on the right cuff of his jacket. A Marine corporal is sitting at the back of the group. A large bunch of bananas is being held up by members of the group. Bananas would have been a very rare luxury during the Second World War. Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached.
