The centre piece is decorated with geometrical motifs surrounding five lions. The lions on the disc are embossed and cut from another sheet. The techniques used to make the fibula include granulation, embossing and punching. The two gold sections are joined with textile material. It was used to pin a womans gown at the shoulder.
