A well-known Indian journalist now on a visit to London is Mr. Kasturi Srinivasan, managing editor of The Hindu, Madras. Mr. Srinivasan was President of the All India Editors Conference 1940-44; chairman Indian Section of the Empire Press Union 1943-45; President of the Indian and Eastern Press Society 1947. He became first chairmain Press Trust of India 1948 and resigned from the PTI Board in 1952. In 1952 he became Vice-Premier International Press Institude and also became Chairman of the Indian National Committee of the IPI.
