The Cambridge Duke of is a historic title that has been held by members of the British royal family for centuries. The current holder of the title is Prince William, who was bestowed with it upon his marriage to Kate Middleton in 2011. As the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William carries out official duties on behalf of the Queen and represents the monarchy at events both in the UK and abroad. The title holds great significance within the royal family, as it is one of only a handful of dukedoms that are traditionally given to members of the immediate royal family. With its rich history and prestigious lineage, being named Duke of Cambridge is a great honor and responsibility for Prince William as he continues to serve his country and uphold the traditions of his ancestors.
