"From Trongate, Glasgow to Mumbai Municipal Corporation: Exploring the World of Double Deckers" Step back in time with this captivating collection of images featuring the iconic double decker vehicles. Starting with "Trongate, Glasgow (oil on board), " we are transported to the bustling streets of Scotland as a double decker bus makes its way through the city. Next, we join the R A Draghounds meet at The Bull Hotel in Farningham on Halloween night in 1935. Amidst an air of excitement and anticipation, a magnificent double decker stands tall, ready for its passengers. Moving southwards to London, we witness trams outside Islington Empire on a sunny day in June 1936. The vibrant energy of the capital is palpable as these charming vehicles traverse the busy streets. Taking flight into modern times, our attention shifts to an Airbus A380 soaring through the skies. Its majestic presence reminds us that even planes can embrace the concept of double decks. Returning to ground level but venturing further eastward, we find ourselves amidst Mumbai's architectural marvels. Against the backdrop of Mumbai Municipal Corporation building stands a proud double decker bus - a symbol of both heritage and progress. Heading northwards again brings us to Blackpool Tower in Lancashire. Here, a delightful tram shares space with this iconic landmark while offering visitors an elevated view from its upper deck. No exploration would be complete without delving into London's rich history and culture. We catch glimpses of Piccadilly Circus adorned with Eros' statue and witness a double-decker bus proudly parked outside Bank station near Threadneedle Street - epitomizing British elegance and efficiency. As our journey continues through time, King George V graces Plymouth with his presence during the 1930s; meanwhile, underground tunnels come alive beneath London's Kingsway Subway thanks to an unknown creator capturing a momentous scene featuring yet another double decker tram.
