From Wallachians and Moldovans in the south, Poles in Krakow, Bulgarians, Ukrainians (Little Russians), Chuvashka Mordva Cheremiska, Zyryanka Votyachka Votyak Zyryanin, Inari Lapps, Mezen Samoyeds, Jews (Talmudists), Lithuanians of the Vilna province, German colonists from St. Petersburg, to Finns (Suoma-layzet), Fiale's lens reveals the unique traditions and identities of each group in 1862.
