"Merritt: A Journey Through Time and Art" Step back in time and immerse yourself in the captivating world of Merritt. From thrilling steamboat races to historic speeches, this name holds a rich tapestry of stories. In 1870, the Great Mississippi Steamboat Race took place between the Robert E. Lee and the Natchez. The Robert E. Lee emerged victorious after an intense journey from New Orleans to St. Louis, conquering the mighty river in just 3 days, 18 hours, and 14 minutes. The talented artist Nathaniel Currier brings us "The Favorite Cat, " a delightful lithograph that captures feline charm with intricate detail and undeniable appeal. Anna Lea Merritt's masterpiece "Love Locked Out" transports us to a realm where love knows no boundaries or limitations. This enchanting artwork evokes emotions that transcend time itself.
