Step back in time to the XIIth century, a period filled with historical events and architectural wonders. One notable figure of this era was St Dunstan, Archbishop of Canterbury, depicted in a captivating coloured engraving. His influence on the church and society left an indelible mark on history. A footed bowl crafted during late XIIth or early XIIIth century fascinates with its delicate fritware material adorned with pierced patterns and underglaze painting. It serves as a reminder that artistry thrived even amidst tumultuous times. Berengaria's alarm for her husband Richard Coeur de Lion is vividly portrayed in an oil painting from 1850. This emotional depiction encapsulates the fears faced by loved ones during wartime struggles.
