The Pilgrims' Cross Desert, also known as the Empty Quarter or Rub' al Khali, is the largest continuous sand sea in the world, stretching across parts of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. The desert's inhospitable conditions, including extreme temperatures and scarce water resources, have long presented a formidable challenge to travelers, making the pilgrimage an arduous and dangerous journey.
