Poster produced by Great Western Railway (GWR) and London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to the popular resort of Weston-super-Mare in smiling Somerset. The poster shows a view of the seaside, with a couple talking in the foreground and Weston Bay and the town stretching out behind them. Artwork by Claude Buckle (1905-1973), who originally trained as an architect, but later turned to pictorial art. He painted in both oil and watercolour and was a prolific poster artist for Great Western Railway (GWR) and BR. Much of his original poster artwork is held at the National Railway Museum
