This striking photograph captures the determination and grit of former Brighton & Hove Albion FC player-manager Gary Hart as he tackles an opponent during a match at Crewe Alexandra on 25th February 2006. The image, taken by renowned sports photographer Paul Hazlewood of Albion Images, perfectly encapsulates the intensity and passion that Hart brought to every game he played or managed. Hart, who spent a significant portion of his playing career with the Seagulls, made a total of 310 appearances for the club between 1989 and 2001. After retiring as a player, he went on to manage Brighton & Hove Albion from 2003 to 2006. In this moment, Hart is shown in mid-tackle, his body contorted as he tries to gain possession of the ball from an opposing player.
