The back has a carved mahogany top rail centred on an anthemion flanked by lotus-carved volutes, between upholstered lyre-shaped ends with moulded and volute-carved mahogany fascias, enclosing a loose squab and pair of bolsters, over a reeded and tabletted seat rail raised on stout volute and lotus-carved feet.
