The artwork, displayed in the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago, showcases an exquisite heart shape engulfed in vibrant flames. Windsor's meticulous attention to detail is evident in this close-up collage piece. Using cut and embossed designed ivory wove paper as his canvas, he skillfully combines various floral elements that add depth and texture to the composition. The rich green foliage beautifully contrasts with the fiery yellow and white hues of the burning heart. As we gaze upon this antique masterpiece, our hearts are filled with nostalgia for a bygone era when greeting cards were meticulously crafted expressions of affection.
