This important traditional Chinese holiday marks the beginning of a new year on the Chinese calendar, which falls between January 21st and February 20th. The first day of the New Year is a time for family reunions, feasting, and various cultural activities. One of the most popular and iconic celebrations during Chinese New Year is the Dragon Dance. This ancient tradition involves a group of performers carrying a long and intricately designed dragon figure made of silk, paper, and bamboo. The dragon, which can reach up to 100 feet in length, is brought to life as the dancers move it through the streets in a lively procession.
