Born on October 3, 1753, in Paris, France, Cambaceres rose to prominence during the French Revolution and the Napoleonic era. He served various roles in the French government, including consul under the Consulate and later as a peer and minister under the Bourbon Restoration. Cambaceres' impressive military and political career is reflected in his regal attire.
