Major Sir Herbert Paul Latham, 2nd Baronet (22 April 1905 24 July 1955), British Conservative Party politician who served as Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby constituency from 1931 to 1941, pictured with his fiancee Lady Patricia Doreen Moore, daughter of the Earl of Drogheda and Kathleen, Lady Drogheda. Latham was arrested for improper behaviour while serving in the army during the Second World War. He attempted suicide twice and served two years in prison, resigning his seat in Parliament. He and Kathleen divorced in 1943; she died in 1947. Date: 1933

Sir Paul Latham, born on April 22, 1905, was a prominent British Conservative Party politician who represented the constituency of Scarborough and Whitby from 1931 to 1941. He hailed from a distinguished lineage, being the second Baronet of the Latham family. Lady Patricia Moore, on the other hand, was the cherished daughter of the Earl of Drogheda and Kathleen, Lady Drogheda. The young couple's engagement was a highly anticipated event within the aristocratic and political circles of the time.
