Poster advertising holidays shooting holidays to Scotland, about 1925. The poster, by Ronald Gray, advertised the London, Midland & Scottish Railways trains to Scotland. The 12 August, the Glorious Twelfth, is the day that the grouse shooting season begins. Scotland has always been a popular destination for shooting holidays. The London, Midland & Scottish Railway offered overnight services with sleeping cars for those visitors travelling from the south of England
