Great memories were made at Deepdale on Tuesday, 22nd September 2015, as Preston North End took on Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup Third Round during the 2015/16 season. The atmosphere was electric as the home crowd eagerly anticipated a thrilling encounter between two teams with a rich footballing heritage. The first half of the game saw both teams creating opportunities, with Preston's Callum Robinson coming close to opening the scoring, only to be denied by a brilliant save from Bournemouth's Artur Boruc. The visitors, however, took the lead just before half-time through a stunning strike from Marc Pugh.
