Chocolate chomping Moor End High School pupils have worked their way through almost 6

Chocolate chomping Moor End High School pupils have worked their way through almost 6, 000 KitKats in the last five months-and all in a good cause. Chocolate manufacturer Rowntree Mackintosh have promised that for every KitKat wrapper collected they will donate three pence to holidays for handicapped children, so the Moor End donation is already over £ 150. Checking on the latest total at the school are (from left) Paul Aitken (14), Rachel Haigh (12), and Farouza Ali (14). 25th February 1986

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this heartwarming photo print, we see the chocolate-loving students of Moor End High School making a difference in their community. Over the past five months, these pupils have devoured an astonishing 6,000 KitKats - all for a noble cause. The renowned chocolate manufacturer Rowntree Mackintosh has pledged to donate three pence for every KitKat wrapper collected towards funding holidays for handicapped children. The generosity and determination of these young individuals have already resulted in a remarkable donation exceeding £150. As they eagerly check on the latest total at their school, Paul Aitken (14), Rachel Haigh (12), and Farouza Ali (14) stand united in their mission to bring joy to those less fortunate. This snapshot captures the essence of charity and childhood innocence. It serves as a reminder that even small acts can make a significant impact when driven by compassion and unity. These boys and girls embody the values of education, empathy, and selflessness that are instilled within them at Moor End High School. As we delve into this nostalgic image from February 25th, 1986 - belonging to an era where kindness prevailed over commercialism - let us celebrate the power of collective action in transforming lives. May it inspire future generations to embrace philanthropy with open hearts while savoring life's sweetest moments along the way.
