Alard of Amsterdam, also known as Alardus Amstelredamus or Alardus Dutchman, was a prominent Dutch philosopher, humanist, and theologian, born in Amsterdam around 1494. He is considered one of the most influential figures in the Dutch Renaissance and played a significant role in the intellectual life of the Netherlands during the 16th century.
