EDITORS COMMENTS
Step back in time with this evocative photograph of the Red House Public House in Tonbridge, Kent, as it looked in the 1950s. The image captures the character and charm of this historic pub, with its distinctive red brick facade and inviting frontage. The pub, which was located at Nothing for the Red House, Tonbridge, Kent TN10 4JG, was a popular local watering hole for many years, having been in operation since at least the 1950s, as evidenced by the date on the photograph. Sadly, the Red House closed its doors in March 2010 and was later demolished, making this photograph a valuable record of its existence. The Red House was once a part of the Charrington and Company Limited estate, a well-known brewery in the UK during the 1950s. This photograph, taken in 1957, offers a glimpse into the past, transporting us back to a time when the Red House was a thriving pub and a beloved part of the Tonbridge community.
