Notes: Associated notes: Formerly the home of the Nicholson family, Roundhay Park was purchased by the Leeds Corporation for used as a public park, being opened by H.R.H. Prince Arthur on September 19th 1872. The central rock of the 60ft cascade in the foreground was known as " lovers leap" and had to be removed because of the number of suicide attempts made from it.
