Pirate, privateer and buccaneer Henry Morgan sacks Puerto Principe in 1688, in search of Spanish gold and treasure. Morgan's men forced the town surrender by threatening to tear the women and children to pieces. Imprisoned in churches, the townspeople starved whilst the pirates pillages their possessions.
