It will be found, in the history of British Indian progress, that both Clive and Warren Hastings repeatedly acknowledged the valuable services of Nava Krishna, who died in 1797. The present Kumar Harendra Krishna, his great-grandson, has been in the Bengal Government service from 1851, and has been commended and promoted.
