The Siege of Sebastopol - general view, 1854. Crimean War. Map showing the Russian-held ports of Sebastopol and Balaclava, harbours and warships. On the Black Sea are Allied warships, and also shown are positions of the French and English armies besieging the ports. A Russian deserter came over from Sebastopol, after having received a tremendous flogging for delaying to turn out on the occasion of the last alarm.
