In this photograph captured by Bill Brunell, we are transported back to the 1930s at the Standard Car Owners Club Gymkhana. The image showcases two remarkable vintage cars that were undoubtedly the stars of the event. On the right side stands a magnificent SS II from 1935, boasting its powerful 1608 cc engine with registration number DPC678. This beauty was entered as vehicle number 16 in the competition. Standing proudly on its left is another classic car, a Standard Flying Twelve from 1936, also equipped with a robust 1608 cc engine and entered as vehicle number 14.
