This evocative reconstruction drawing by renowned artist Judith Dobie brings to life the image of King Harold II, also known as Harold Godwinson, in the pivotal year of 1066. Harold is depicted here in the prime of his reign, standing resolute and determined against the backdrop of Battle Abbey in Sussex, the site where the fateful Battle of Hastings took place.
