HRH Princess Diana, The Princess of Wales, and Prince Charles at a traditional tea ceremony. In other frames in this set, the Princess is pictured with city officials who encourage her to wear a Japanese Kimono. The Kimono picture are taken at Nijo Castle in Kyoto, Japan. It is not clear is the tea ceremony is also Nijo Castle in Kyoto, Japan, but it is worth noting that the Prince and Princess are wearing the same clothes, so very probably on the same day.
Princess Diana wore a red hat, and red and white spotted top, like the Japanese flag. as a mark of respect.
