This print titled "Afghanistan, Notes at Kandahar (engraving)" takes us back to the 19th century, offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of this ancient land. The image showcases a group of native officers from the 19th Bengal Lancers, standing proudly in their military attire. Among them is Lieutenant Miles, who appears to be engrossed in his notes. The engraving was created by an English School artist and originally featured in The Graphic on March 27,1880. It now resides in a private collection but has been made available for public viewing through Look and Learn / Illustrated Papers Collection. The scene depicted here transports us to Kandahar, one of Afghanistan's most significant cities.
