The creator, Donald McLeish, skillfully portrays the architectural beauty of this historic gatehouse located in St. James's Palace on Pall Mall, London. Originally commissioned by King Henry VIII and completed between 1531 and 1536, this red-brick structure served as the official residence of British monarchs until it suffered fire damage in 1809.
