The square was meticulously designed by Giuseppe Valadier between 1811 and 1822, showcasing his architectural brilliance. In this particular view of the square, our attention is immediately drawn to the majestic Ancient Egyptian obelisk that stands tall at its center. This remarkable obelisk dates all the way back to the reign of Rameses II, adding a touch of ancient history to this bustling cityscape.
