Water-Colour Gallery, 1860s, (1881). Interior of a room containing a display of watercolour drawings in the South Kensington Museum in London. The design consisted of a series of bays, each surmounted by a lunette (semi-circular area) framed by a pair of pilasters painted to resemble marble, and supporting an acanthus-leaf corbel with a roof bracket above. The decor was designed by Richard Redgrave, first Keeper of Paintings at the Museum.
