Hadrian's Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an iconic symbol of Roman engineering and military might. Constructed under the orders of Emperor Hadrian between 122 and 128 AD, the wall stretches over 73 miles from Wallsend in the east to Bowness-on-Solway in the west, marking the northern boundary of the Roman Empire. The drawing beautifully illustrates the intricate process of constructing the wall. The workers are shown meticulously laying stones and mortar to form the outer face of the wall, while others fill the inner core with rubble.
