EDITORS COMMENTS
In this image from the annals of Indian mythology, we find the tale of Prince Dhruva, a young man whose unwavering devotion and steadfastness earned him a place among the celestial bodies as the Pole Star. The story goes back to ancient India, where Prince Dhruva, the son of King Uttanapada, was known for his unyielding dedication to his father. However, his father's weakness for alcohol and women led him to neglect his duties as a king and a father. Disappointed and disillusioned, Dhruva decided to leave his home in search of guidance and wisdom. Determined to find the truth, Dhruva embarked on a journey to the forest, where he met the great sage Trisanku. Under the sage's tutelage, Dhruva dedicated himself to meditation and spiritual practices, striving to attain enlightenment. As the years passed, Dhruva's devotion and unwavering focus on his spiritual journey did not go unnoticed. The gods, impressed by his dedication, approached him and offered him a boon. Dhruva, ever humble, asked to be placed at the North Pole, where he would remain steadfast and unmovable, a beacon of unwavering devotion and steadfastness. True to his word, Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, granted Dhruva his wish. At the end of his life, Dhruva was transformed into the Pole Star, a symbol of unwavering devotion and steadfastness, inspiring generations to come. This beautiful image captures the essence of the story, with Dhruva depicted in deep meditation, surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest, and the vast expanse of the cosmos stretching out behind him. A testament to the power of unwavering devotion and the enduring nature of mythology, this image is a must-have for any collection of spiritual or historical art.
