The image showcases two distinct areas of the town: Roberts Barracks, located on West Ridge, and the bustling bazaar below. Roberts Barracks, a prominent British military installation, is seen on the left side of the photograph. Named after Sir John Robert, the British Resident of the Punjab, the barracks were built in the late 19th century to house the British military personnel and their families.
