Thomas Mayne Reid (1818-1883): A Pioneer of American Literature This portrait of Thomas Mayne Reid, a Scots-Irish American novelist, was published in the Spanish and American Illustrated Magazine, La Ilustracion Espanola y Americana, in 1883.
