In this elegant and historic photograph, Major John Evelyn Gibbs (1879-1932) and Lady Helena Cambridge (born Princess Helena of Teck, later changed to Cambridge following the outbreak of World War I) (1899-1969) exchange vows at the majestic St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England on the 2nd of September, 1919. Major Gibbs, who later became Colonel Gibbs, is resplendent in his military uniform, adorned with medals and insignia, reflecting his distinguished military career.
