An almost deserted view of Market Square (or Commercial Square) at St Just in Penwith. It shows J. Matthews shop, the Kings Arms, the Wellington Hotel and St Just Church. Two girls are standing in front of the shop on the left hand side and there is a policeman standing with another man in the doorway of the Wellington Hotel. Step back in time to the early 1900s with this print of Market Square, St Just in Penwith, Cornwall. Transporting us to a bygone era, the image captures an almost deserted view of the bustling square. The architectural gems that define this historic town are on full display - J. Matthews shop, the Kings Arms inn, and the Wellington Hotel stand proudly against the backdrop of St Just Church. Intriguingly frozen in time, two young girls steal our attention as they stand curiously outside one of the shops on the left-hand side.
