The screen has a rectangular glazed frame containing a Berlin woolwork panel, hung between finialled spiral-twist turned uprights, each on two moulded and carved cabriole legs. The glazed frame has pierced fretted decoration at the top and bottom. The needlework panel depicts the Crystal Palace in London and the date 1851 surrounded by flowers, including those symbolising the different parts of the United Kingdom such as cream and red roses.
