Promotional postcard for The Still Alarm by Joseph Arthur. (fourteenth Street Theatre, New York, 30th July 1887). First produced in England Princesss Theatre, 2nd August 1888. The play was famous in its day for the arrival on stage of a horse-drawn fire engine. The words New York Central Fire Station are carved on a building in the right back-ground. Date: circa 1888
