Laing Homes Special Projects worked in partnership with Hackney Council and a consortium of housing associations to redevelop the estate which had originally been built in the 1970s. The aim of the project was to provide over 1000 new and refurbished homes over a 6 year period, following traditional street patterns and providing gardens for residents. This photograph is part of a batch taken to show the demolition of Rowan Court which took place on 24th March 1996
